Fondue & Fountain for Breast Cancer
Fundraising Fondue & Fountain Evening
Kay Pritchard from Willey and Helen Mather from Stapleton are actively fundraising for the Moonwalk which takes place in Hyde Park, London in aid of Breast Cancer on 15th May, 2010.
Forty nine guests attended the charity cheese fondue and chocolate fountain evening recently held at The Pleck, Monkland, otherwise known as the Mousetrap cheese making dairy, by kind permission of Mark & Karen Hindle.
An amazing total of £1197.74 was raised thanks to the guest's generosity.
A total of 21 draw prizes had been donated by local individuals and businesses. The first prize of a valentine arrangement was won by Marilyn Probert-Jones.
In addition ten items were also donated for a mini auction raising an incredible £310.
Kay and Helen were helped on this occasion by Carol Pitt from Kinsham and Carol Burgins from Dolau who walked with them in 2009. Carol Pitt has also volunteered to help out on the evening at Hyde Park in the Big Pink Tent.
Future fundraising events to put in your dairy include Sea Shanty Singing on Thursday 4th March at The Royal Oak, Presteigne 8.30-9.00pm featuring Hobsons Choice and 1st May, 2010 when Lingen Village Hall will see the Big English Breakfast morning to include a table sale, 9am till 1pm.
